I’m also looking for a solution. Tried keeping an Excel table, but that only works in the beginning. After that, it’s just impossible to manage. I’d love to automate this somehow.
I definitely wouldn’t just take the owner’s word for it. No matter how decent or trustworthy the person seems at first, it’s always better to double-check using databases, reports, insurance info, and all that.
I’m writing about this now after some time has passed, so I’ve calmed down. But at the time, I thought it was the end of the world because it was a very important project that I had finally finished. Now I’ve sorted everything out and resolved it, but it would be good to understand why this happened and fix the issue so it doesn’t happen again in the future.
I’m not trying to complain, but I’m back to job searching again. I don’t get why I can’t seem to stick to one place, one company, and just work without constantly worrying about money. Where do you look for jobs? Are there any job sites I might not know about?
